Tocolytics

Medications that are used to relax the uterus (stop contractions) and prevent preterm labor.

Magnesium Sulfate
These are used to cause smooth muscle relaxation. It is used to stop preterm labor – also it can be used to prevent and control seizures in preeclamptic and eclamptic patients.
